Information Security Awareness
Protecting College data is a shared responsibility and you are the best defense against threats.
Training available:
Those who handle or process payment card transactions, who have responsibility for managing payment card transactions, or who support the systems that process payment card transactions should take PCI Training.
To request training please submit a request to the IT Support Center.
The training offers best practices, expectations, and guidelines for IT administrators and privileged account holders in various areas, including:
- Usage of a Privileged Account
- Passwords
- Vulnerability Management
- System/Application Hardening
- Policies and Procedures
Columbus State takes the security of its organization, users, and data seriously. Security Awareness Training is a made available to all College staff, faculty and student employees. All faculty, staff and student employees who access information resources should complete Security Awareness Training annually.

The Cybersecurity Center, in collaboration with Columbus State's Information Security
Office and Digital Education and Instructional Services team, developed "Building
a Secure Future," a series of six cybersecurity awareness modules for the Columbus
State community and general public. Each of these modules will introduce you to fundamental
cybersecurity concepts and help you protect your digital identity. The following
