According to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), accessible content is created following the four principles of accessibility:

1. Perceivable  »  Information can't be invisible to all senses.
2. Operable  »  The interface cannot require interaction that a user cannot perform.
3. Understandable  »  The content or operation cannot be beyond a user's understanding.
4. Robust  »  As technologies and user agents evolve, the content should remain accessible.
