Training opportunities from the Office of Equity and Compliance

One of the ways the Office of Equity and Compliance works to support a healthy learning and working environment for all students, staff, and faculty is by educating and training our campus community. You will find information about two of the training opportunities available in Spring 2022.

Equity and Compliance: Supporting Our Campus Community
Designed for Columbus State employees, this 60-minute session explores how the Office of Equity and Compliance works to support a healthy, respectful, and safe environment by overseeing the College’s discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and accessibility policies and initiatives. A version of this session is presented during New Hire Orientation.

Cougars Creating Positive Change: Addressing Sexual Harassment at Columbus State
Designed for Columbus State students, this 60-minute training explores how all community members can effect positive change on our campus. Students will learn how to recognize and prevent sexual harassment in our college community, how to share and access resources related to dating violence, domestic violence, stalking, sexual assault, and other types of sexual harassment, and how the Office of Equity and Compliance addresses concerns of sexual harassment.
