IT hosting new training sessions for employees

The Information Technology (IT) division is offering technology training for employees to help with productivity tools used for remote work, including Cloud Storage, OneNote, Breakout Rooms in Teams, and more. These sessions will be held virtually in a Microsoft Teams meeting. Registration takes place in Cornerstone

(Note: The meeting link and directions for how to join will be emailed to registered attendees 24 hours before the start time of the training.)

Timesavers for Emailing in Outlook
Do you wish you could send emails from Outlook more efficiently? Are you tired of manually writing the same repetitive text in your emails. Join our online session to learn helpful tips for crafting emails with ease, including Quick Parts, templates, editing hyperlinks, and more.

Cloud Storage 101
Are you saving your work only on your computer (like your Desktop or Documents folder)? If so, this training is for you! In this session, we will demonstrate how to store and share files in the cloud using OneDrive. Perfect for beginners who want to learn the basics and benefits of cloud storage.

Introduction to OneNote
OneNote is a digital notebook you can use to manage projects, take meeting minutes, and more. Learn how to enhance your notes with multimedia and use search options to find what you need quickly. Integration with Outlook, Teams, and other office tools can streamline your productivity.

Getting Started with Teams
New to Columbus State or new to Microsoft Teams? Learn how Teams can help you communicate and collaborate with colleagues while working remotely. Features like chat, conference calls, and integration with Office 365 all combine to make one versatile tool.

Experience Breakout Rooms in Teams
It’s time to take your meetings to the next level! Join IT for an interactive training about the basic features and options for breakout rooms in Teams. Learn how to set up the rooms, assign participants, and see what being part of a breakout room is like. Join us to check it out and connect with your colleagues in this fun and interactive session.
