Check out what’s New in Microsoft Teams

Update | Tuesday, May 26, 2020

Many Columbus State employees are using Microsoft Teams to communicate with colleagues while working remotely. Microsoft has made some changes over the last month that you might be interested in learning more about. Many of these are only available in the desktop version, which is recommended for full functionality.

New features in Teams include the following:

  • Raise your hand: Let everyone in your meeting know you have something to say
  • 3x3 Video calls: Now see up to 9 participants simultaneously during video calls
  • Pop-out chat: “Pop-out” a chat conversation into a separate window
  • End the meeting: End the meeting for all participants immediately
  • Turn on live captions: Increased accessibility allowing you to read what is being said
  • Change your background: Blur your background or choose a custom background.

For an overview of these exciting changes and how to find them, check out the Information Technology Knowledge Base article What’s new in Teams?.
