IT hosting October and November trainings

The Information Technology (IT) Division is offering technology training for employees to help with productivity tools used for remote work. The sessions are held virtually in Microsoft Teams. The training options include a new session on cloud storage.
Registration takes place in Cornerstone. The meeting link and directions for how to join will be sent out to registered attendees via email 24 hours before the start time
New: Cloud Storage 101
Are you saving your work directly to your computer (like your Desktop or Documents
folder)? If so, this training is for you! Learn the basics and benefits of using cloud
storage. We will demonstrate how to store, share, and sync files in the cloud using
OneDrive. Perfect for beginners looking to keep their files safe and secure.

Introduction to OneNote
OneNote is a digital notebook you can use to manage projects, take meeting minutes,
and more. Learn how to enhance your notes with multimedia and use search options to
find what you need quickly. Integration with Outlook, Teams, and other office tools
can streamline your productivity.

Getting Started with Teams
New to Columbus State? Interested in using Teams for more than just meetings? Learn
how Teams can help you communicate and collaborate with colleagues while working remotely.
Features like chat, conference calls, and integration with Office 365 all combine
to make one versatile tool.

Teams Topics: Calendars and Meetings
Learn more about how to schedule and join meetings in Teams, how the experience differs
when you invite students or outside contacts, and how to use various features within
your meeting.

Teams Topics: Using Channels and “Teams”
Learn more about the concept of teams and channels, best practices for communicating
effectively in channels, and how to personalize your notifications to avoid missing
important information.

To register, log in to Cornerstone and hover over the “Learning” tab in the top menu. In the drop-down menu, choose “Events Calendar.” Click on the event title listed on the calendar. Select Request to register.
