2019 Year in Review
Update | Tuesday, January 7, 2020
From the erratic winter weather causing closures in January to the 199th Commencement in December, last year proved to be a busy and productive year for Columbus State. National recognition from Achieving the Dream, along with new partnerships with Catholic Social Services and the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, are a few examples of significant accomplishments during the year.
Perhaps the biggest buzz was received with the dedication of Mitchell Hall. After years of planning and construction, the new home to the School of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts officially opened in August, just 14 months after the ceremonial groundbreaking at the site. Each month of 2019 provided a headline or two. Take the journey and look back at some of the accomplishments in the Year in Review.
