Students hear from U.S. Sen. Brown at event

Update | Monday, November 25, 2019

Seven student representatives and a College administrator attended U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown’s fifth annual Propel Ohio Collegiate Leadership Summit held on November 15 at Bowling Green State University.

The theme was civic engagement. It brought together Ohio’s two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities, as well as regional campuses.

Participants were able to hear from Sen. Brown and others on a panel, as well as a keynote speaker and local activist, Monica Ramirez. She is the founder of Justice for Migrant Women. The events provided insight on how to engage a generation of leaders to effect change in our region.
