As the “Light Ohio Blue” campaign (May 7-17) marks its 10th anniversary, the Columbus State Police Department will participate in this statewide tribute to law enforcement. The college has been a consistent and dedicated partner and demonstrated its support by lighting the campus blue.
Throughout the week, the community is encouraged to participate by taking part in simple yet meaningful acts of support, including:
- Replace a porch light with a blue bulb
- Display blue lights or ribbons at homes, schools, and businesses
- Decorate buildings blue to show appreciation
- Wear blue on Thursday, May 15, in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day
The campaign is rooted in remembrance, but it is also a celebration of community partnership.
By visibly showing support, residents help foster stronger relationships between law
enforcement and the communities they serve.
