Apply for All-USA Academic Team scholarship

Student News | Monday, October 6, 2025

Outstanding student leaders from Columbus State are applying for the All-USA Academic Team and the Coca-Cola Academic Team Programs sponsored by Cengage, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, the Coca-Cola Foundation, and Phi Theta Kappa. Recipients will be awarded nearly $500,000 in scholarships. The student and the college can receive national recognition should a national nominee be identified.

In addition to recognition by Cengage and Coca-Cola, nominees to these programs are recognized in All-State Academic Team programs held in 37 states. All-State Team programs may offer academic scholarships, newspaper coverage, medallions, and/or certificates to scholars. By nominating students to the All-USA Academic Team national program, the college is able to provide additional scholarship opportunities for nominees they would otherwise not have access to.

Currently, the college is seeking qualified applications. In selecting nominees to represent our institution, we ask that you to consider the eligibility criteria to determine if you might be a good fit for the scholarship. The scholarships aim to award students with outstanding academic rigor and grade point averages, participation in honors programs, awards, and recognition for academic achievement and service to the college and community.

In addition, the focal point of the application is the essay. This should center around one endeavor undertaken by the student that utilized their college education to improve their respective community or college. Judges look for innovative, creative, original, and lasting achievements or undertakings.
