New recovery group forming

Student News | Tuesday, January 16, 2024

Columbus State Community College is announcing the development of its first Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) in collaboration with The Ohio State University's Student Wellness Center.

The CRC is a welcoming and inclusive environment for students in recovery or seeking recovery from substance misuse. The CRC is a place where students are empowered to be their authentic selves and support one another while navigating their college experience. You are invited to stop by an Open House on Wednesday, Jan. 31, anytime between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Center for Workforce Development (WD), room 414. You can ask questions and get more information.

Organizers want your input on participation, activities, engagement, support, and anything else that would support you through your college journey. To register for the Open House, check out the CRC Cougar Connect Page. If you have questions, contact Joseph Farkas at jfarkas@cscc.edu, or Sarah Madtes at smadtes@cscc.edu.
