IT information to start the semester

Student News | Tuesday, January 16, 2024

Information Technology (IT) has important reminders for each semester regarding Office 365, Wi-Fi on campus, and available computer labs.

  • Office 365: Current students can install Microsoft Office on their personal devices for free. Review this article about Office 365 for detailed instructions.
  • Wi-Fi on campus: Current students and employees should use the "CSCC" network for best performance. Log in using your Columbus State email address and password. The "CSCC-Visitor" network is intended for users who do not have an account. Review the appropriate article for device-specific instructions.  You can also use the eduroam network and your Columbus State credentials to connect to Wi-Fi at other participating universities and colleges. See where this service is offered here: https://eduroam.org/where/.
  • Computer lab: Need a computer or printer to use? Stop by the Computer Commons lab (TL 116) on the Columbus Campus or the Learning Center (Moeller Hall) on the Delaware Campus.
  • Technical assistance: Need help? Contact the IT Support Center at 614-287-5050 or email helpdesk@cscc.edu. In-person support is also available from the IT Frontliners. On the Columbus campus, they are in the Center for Technology and Learning in the Cyber Cafe (TL Lobby) or inside the Computer Commons lab (TL 116).  On Delaware Campus, they are in the Learning Center in Moeller Hall. Check out the online resources and hours of operation at cscc.edu/ithelp
