For the 13th year, Columbus State HVAC students and instructors partnered with more than 30 HVAC service technicians on Oct. 19 for “Heat the Town.”

The annual community service event is sponsored by the Breathing Association and the Air Conditioning Contractors of Central Ohio. The technicians provided heating, safety, and maintenance checks for more than 90 qualified area residents. Without the service work, those residents could risk health problems from unsafe, improperly operating heating equipment during cold winter months.
