Library presenting National Poetry Month events

The Columbus State Library and the Columbus Metropolitan Library will co-host a virtual poetry event featuring author Marcus Jackson Columbus State English Professor Robyn Lyons-Robinson will serve as the moderator. Jackson will read from his very own work on Wednesday, April 7 at noon.

Jackson will also present a writing workshop exclusively for Columbus State faculty, staff, and students on Friday, April 9 at noon.

Jackson was born and raised in Toledo. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toledo and a Master of Fine Arts from New York University. His poems have appeared in The American Poetry Review, The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, and other publications. Jackson is the author of Rundown (2009), Neighborhood Register (2011), and Pardon My Heart (2018). He is currently an assistant professor of English at The Ohio State University.
