The Columbus State Concert Band performed its first concert since early March 2020. The band held its Autumn Concert on November 30 in the WD Conference Center.

It featured the world premiere of "Lost Prayer," which was composed by long-time Columbus State faculty member Rocco Di Pietro. It was written especially for the Concert Band and is dedicated to its director, Thomas Lloyd. Also on the program was another of Di Pietro's compositions, "Being 3," which featured guest artist violinist Olev Viro. A large and enthusiastic crowd was present. Video of the concert can be viewed at cscc.edu/concertband

The band resumes rehearsals on January 18. Director Thomas Lloyd is looking to add several new percussionists for Spring Semester. If interested, contact tlloyd@cscc.edu
