Columbus State students are working on a project for Columbus-based ODW Logistics. It’s a third-party logistics (3PL) and warehouse company serving Ohio, California, Illinois, and Missouri, offering 3PL services to a variety of customers. When the company recently opened a new Central Ohio facility, they hired eight Columbus State students for assistance on a large six-to-eight-week project.
The students work in Inventory and Quality departments. The Inventory team is conducting physical cycle counts and performing location audits. The Quality team is working with the full-time Inbound Receiving team on process audits and identifying gaps in the company’s Standard Operating Procedures. The students represent various majors, including Logistics Engineering Technology (LET), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology (EMEC), and Psychology.
