Poetry open mic is this Thursday

Local poet and co-founder of Writer’s Block Poetry Vernell Bristow will be emceeing an open mic event this Thursday in the Library.

Join us from 5:00-6:00 p.m. on April 26 in the Columbus Hall Multimedia Studio for poetry, food, and fun! The event is open to all, and we hope it will provide students the opportunity to share poetry/spoken word that explores such themes as gender, race, leadership and more.

A workshop will precede the open mic event from 4:00-5:00 p.m. and is sold-out. If you have already registered for the workshop and have any questions, please contact librarians Julie Zaveloff at jzavelof@cscc.edu or Lorena Popelka at lpopelka@cscc.edu.
