Qualifying Courses
Courses that are eligible for CCP credit and funding
The courses outlined on this page are the Columbus State CCP-eligible Level I courses.* Level I courses are college courses taken in the first 15 hours of a student’s participation. Courses must be on this list to be covered by CCP funding within the student’s first 15 credit hours. Once a student has earned 15 credit hours, then the full Columbus State course catalog becomes available to them, with the exception of courses listed on the Restricted Course List. The Restricted Course List reflects courses that cannot be taken using CCP funding or are restricted for other reasons.
Per Ohio Administrative Code 3333-1-65.12, Level I courses must be transferrable, part of a technical certificate program or pathway, a study skills or academic success course, or in the areas of computer science, information technology, anatomy, physiology, foreign language, or American Sign Language.
Many of the courses on the Level I course list are also part of the Ohio Transfer 36 (OT36), a transfer agreement between Ohio public colleges. The OT36 is a set of courses that fulfills the general education requirements at public universities in Ohio. Students can view a list of OT36-approved courses.
