Grange Insurance has made an incredible $1 million gift to the Columbus State Foundation. It is the
largest unrestricted gift and will elevate the Foundation’s work to build a better
future for the central Ohio region.
“At Grange Insurance, we believe education lays the foundation for a strong community. Central Ohio is stronger when we come together to support the resources that address disparities in education and careers for students,” said Grange Insurance President & CEO, and Columbus State Board Trustee, John Ammendola.
The gift and partnership of Grange Insurance are essential as Columbus State leads in creating support systems for students at risk of dropping out. Now more than ever, students face financial hardships that can make college feel impossible. Through programs and initiatives like Columbus Promise, Student Emergency Funds, and Taste the Future, Columbus State has a proven ability to offer high-quality education and training to students looking to start or restart their careers.
“A philanthropic gift, no matter the size, reflects a belief in our organization’s mission and our ability to make an impact,” said Katy Trombitas, vice president of Advancement at Columbus State. “With Grange’s trust in us, we can take a crucial step in addressing the needs of our community.”
Donations like the one from Grange Insurance allow more students from more diverse populations to receive the necessary resources to succeed in our community. We are grateful for the trust of our community, including partners like Grange Insurance, as we support all students on their journey and build more opportunities for our region.
