Conference and Events Services earns international award

Columbus State came out on top at the recent Association of Collegiate Conference & Event Directors International (ACCED-I) Virtual Conference. The College’s recent Diversity in Hospitality: Black Chefs Speak Out was among four finalists for the Inclusive Excellence Award. Black Chefs Speak Out was sponsored by the School of Hospitality Management and the Columbus State Foundation. When the awards were announced on March 23, Columbus State won! Watch the announcement.

“Conference and Events Services is honored to be the recipient of the 2021 ACCED-I Inclusive Excellence Award for our continual efforts in the field of diversity, equity and inclusion,” said Lori Gage, events coordinator. “This award represents an outstanding milestone in the institution’s conference and events program. With the support from College leadership, we have taken a concerted effort in this area and would not be here without their support.”
