significant venture capital. Biomanufacturing technicians are in high demand, and to address this need, Columbus State Community College has launched a Biotechnology Manufacturing Training Program. With this short-term program, you can gain the skills necessary to pursue an exciting, well-paying career at the forefront of scientific innovation in just 12 weeks

Career Outlook

Completing the Biotechnology Manufacturing Training Program will qualify you to work as a biomanufacturing production technician, a role that involves carrying out and monitoring precise processes, equipment, and environments in the production of biological materials and products used in life-saving treatments, medications, and gene therapies. Adhering to the current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), which are standard across many industries, will open doors to a range of careers outside of biomanufacturing. With an average hourly wage of $19 to $24 for entry-level biotech roles, this program provides a great opportunity to start a rewarding career in an exciting and growing field.

If you’ve completed Columbus State’s Biotech Bootcamp, you can earn prior learning credit for the Introduction to Biotechnology course and start your journey toward the Biotech AS Degree!

The Biotech Associate of Science provides advanced training on biotech manufacturing, and can be applied toward a bachelor's degree at a four-year college.
