How To Use The Secure Shredding Program
Columbus State offers a college-wide secure shredding program that protects the college's sensitive information.
Secure shredding is a quick, convenient way to dispose of sensitive college information in a timely manner. To protect our college, our students and employees the program reduces the risk of sensitive information being disposed of insecurely which could be used for fraudulent purposes.
Large gray Iron Mountain bins and smaller office consoles are strategically places throughout the college. To shred a document, simply walk up to a secure bin and drop the papers inside.
Bins will be emptied at least monthly or sooner if needed.
If your bin or console is full or if your area needs additional, bins or consoles please submit a request to the IT Support Center.
