Coming soon: Blackboard Ultra courses
Update | Monday, August 4, 2025
Columbus State is excited to announce the upcoming transition to Blackboard Ultra over the next academic year. With Anthology phasing out its original course view, this is the perfect opportunity to upgrade and modernize the student experience.
What’s new with Ultra?
Ultra courses offer a streamlined, intuitive interface designed to enhance teaching
and learning. With simplified navigation, improved accessibility, and a responsive
design, students and instructors will enjoy a consistent look and feel across laptops,
tablets, and smartphones. With Ultra, students can more easily access their grades
and feedback, making it simple to monitor their progress and stay engaged in their
learning.
What to expect
A phased rollout will begin Autumn Semester with a pilot group of faculty members, supported by Digital Education and Instructional
Services (DEIS) and Information Technology (IT). Throughout the next year, students
may see courses in both course formats. Comprehensive training and support will be
available for instructors and students involved in the Ultra pilot program to ensure
a smooth transition.
