Third Friday: support for expecting, parenting, and caregiving students

Update | Tuesday, March 8, 2022

Columbus State is committed to supporting students who are parenting. Using what we have learned from our survey results and focus group data, including students who are expecting, have college-age kids, have school-age kids, have toddlers, are single or are married, we will discuss our short-term and long-term next steps.

Part 1 of this session will focus on what we have learned and how to move forward. Part 2 will include the voices of our student parents who have shared their experiences and insights as part of this process. Both sessions will be held on Friday, March 25. (Note: This is actually the fourth Friday of the month, due to Spring Break falling on the third Friday.)

Two-Part Zoom session:
Part 1, 9-10 a.m. – Presenters Charvella McKaye and Kat McDonald-Miranda

Part 2, 10-11 a.m. – Facilitators Julie Mosca and Chelsea Francis
