Ohio’s Poet Laureate a guest in one of two April poetry events

Update | Tuesday, March 29, 2022

(One previous poetry event earlier in April has already taken place.)

Award-winning poet Ruth Awad will lead a poetry writing workshop exclusively for Columbus State faculty, staff, and students on Thursday, April 28 at noon. Columbus State English Professor Steve Kaczmarek will moderate. Register here.

Awad is a Lebanese-American poet, a 2021 NEA Poetry fellow, and the author of Set to Music a Wildfire, winner of the 2016 Michael Waters Poetry Prize and the 2018 Ohioana Book Award for Poetry. (Students who attend will be eligible to win a copy of her book.)

Both events are free. For more information, contact Dana Knott, director of Libraries, at dknott@cscc.edu
