Columbus State’s Ohio Society of Radiologic Technologists (OSRT) Quiz Bowl team brings home a victory. The team won the championship at the OSRT Annual Meeting April 7-9 in Worthington.

(OSTR represents medical imaging personnel throughout the state and advocates for disciplines within the practice and promotes quality patient care.)

The OSRT Quiz Bowl is recognized as the most competitive in the country and draws teams from different states to compete. This year, Columbus State’s team played the University of Cincinnati three times to secure the victory. “UC is always a tough competitor,” says Jerry Tyree, assistant professor. UC beat us the first time we met them, but since it was a double elimination tournament, we got a second chance, and beat them back to back for the overall win. For Columbus State, this represents back to back victories since – due to the pandemic – the last competition was held in 2019 when Columbus State was also crowned the winner. Kudos to Quiz Bowl advisor Amy Parry.
