Kick-off for virtual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Speaker Series

The Library has announced Celia C. Peters is the first speaker for our virtual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Speaker Series. It will be held on Wednesday, March 30 at 2 p.m. You may register for the virtual event at this link

About the Speaker
Celia C. Peters is a filmmaker and visual artist creating daring futurist stories about intriguing, authentic characters. She is currently developing her afro-futurist feature film GODSPEED in partnership with WarnerMedia150.  

Peters is also director of Shutdown, a historical documentary produced by Ohio State University, currently in post-production. In 2019-2020, Peters was a lecturer at Ohio State University; she also created the B.A.M.N. (By Any Means Necessary) Make Your Short Film! filmmaking course and Screenwriting Basics course that she has taught to youth and adults. In 2017, Peters was awarded a Residency at the Wexner Center for the Arts for her experimental sci-fi short film MISSION.
