African American Read-In Chain needs readers

Update | Tuesday, February 2, 2021

The English Department and the Office of Global Diversity and Inclusion will host the National African American Read-In Chain on Thursday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  Columbus State has hosted the read-in since 1995. All students, faculty, staff, and community members are invited to join this Black History Month literary tradition.

There are three easy steps to participate. First, choose a short work written by an African American author. Second, email your name, title of the work, and author’s name to rlyons@cscc.edu. Third, RSVP for the virtual event at this link. The deadline is next Monday, February 8. (Anyone wanting to attend but not read should RSVP on the link.) For more information, contact Robyn Lyons-Robinson at rlyons@cscc.edu
