Seventeen Columbus State nursing graduates took part in a drive-through pinning ceremony on May 13 in the parking lot next to Aquinas Hall. It marked the conclusion of an academic journey as they begin a new chapter in their lives.

The pandemic forced the cancellation of this symbolic ceremony in 2020. This year, it was held for the first time as a drive-through event. The pinning included a certificate of completion of the Practical Nursing program, qualifying the graduates to take a state board exam to earn a practical nursing license. The license will allow graduates to work as a licensed practical nurse (LPN) anywhere in Ohio, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, urgent care offices, and physician’s offices.
