CREST and FERPA training in October

Update | Tuesday, September 21, 2021

The Office of Equity and Compliance will launch the 2021-2022 edition of College Respect Equity and Support Training (CREST) in October. This training contributes to a safe, healthy, and productive learning and working environment. It is one way the College encourages diversity, equity, and inclusion. CREST includes a re-launch of last year’s in-house customized sexual harassment training and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training.

Managers were asked last year to complete a survey regarding their experience. Their responses underscored the need to solicit additional feedback from all employees. Therefore, we are re-launching the sexual harassment training without edits to provide the opportunity for all to evaluate. The feedback will help the Office of Equity and Compliance make meaningful updates to ensure the training continues to speak to the needs of the College community.

Employees will receive two emails in early October, one for the sexual harassment training and one for the FERPA training. Both emails will include a link to log in to Cornerstone to complete the training modules, information about how to contact Equity and Compliance with questions, and the Friday, December 17 due date. After that date, employees will receive an email with a link to complete an anonymous survey based on their training experience.
