Let students know: deadline extended for CARES Act grants

Update | Tuesday, February 23, 2021

If you have students who may qualify, the deadline to apply for a CARES Act Student Emergency Relief Grant has been extended. Funds are limited, and students can only submit one application per term.

Students who are Federal Aid/Title IV eligible, and otherwise qualified, and who are enrolled for Spring Semester may submit an application for a federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act grant that is part of the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund. These funds can assist eligible students with the COVID-19 pandemic-related expenses, including food, housing, course materials, technology, transportation, health care, and childcare. The new deadline is noon on Wednesday, March 10, or earlier if funds are exhausted.

For program details and an application, they can click on Help with Food, Finances, Housing & Safety, then scroll down to Student Emergency Relief Grants. Questions can be directed to emergencyfund@cscc.edu.
