Business Programs works to increase diversity with video series

Update | Tuesday, April 27, 2021

(New programs added for month of May. Scroll down to see them)

The Business Programs Department has set a goal to increase the diversity of its faculty and staff to better represent the makeup of our students and our state. To accomplish that goal, the department plans to increase outreach efforts to entities that may be able to help. We are confident that these very deliberate actions will allow us to be leaders on campus in our efforts to root out racism and biases.

As a first step, Business Programs entered into a partnership with Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC). The OMSDC is one of 23 affiliates of the National Minority Supplier Development Council, a nonprofit corporate membership organization that advances business opportunities for its certified Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American business enterprises and connects them to its corporate members.

Beginning Tuesday, April 27 at 2 p.m., and continuing in the future, Business Programs will host a video series focused on leadership. The series will feature chief executive officers from the corporate members of OSMDC. The first will be with Sudarshan Sathe, who is the CEO of New Concepts, Inc. Students and faculty are welcome to attend the interview live at this Zoom link, or you may also access it later at the Columbus State Business Programs YouTube page.
