Faculty from the Information Systems Technology and Art, Media, and Design departments collaborated on a weeklong virtual workshop, July 13-17. Jon Lundquist, Peter Carswell, and Zak Dziizcomski developed and led a workshop on Hybrid App Development using React Native, as part of the 2020 Working Connections IT Faculty Development Institute.

Nineteen educators from 16 colleges around the country participated in the seminar. Participants worked together to create a to-do mobile device app – known as Tasky – from concept to completion. In addition to the workshop, Lundquist and Carswell gave a lunchtime presentation on the challenges they've faced in launching mobile app design and development degree programs at Columbus State.
