Team of the Month announced

Although it has not been decided if it will become a monthly award, the College announced for the first time a Team of the Month during First Wednesday. With so many departments and teams going above and beyond during the coronavirus pandemic, administrators wanted to acknowledge a specific group for their ongoing efforts to assist students.

Allen Kraus, vice president of Marketing, Communications, and Enrollment announced that the special recognition is going to the Telephone Information Center (TIC) staff. The TIC receives up to 150,000 calls per year.

Until the coronavirus pandemic, they were operating out of a triple-wide trailer near the back of campus. That all changed when it was decided they needed to work remotely. Kraus also thanked the IT team for their efforts to make sure each operator could work from home. The project was especially challenging because the technology and software needed.
