Update | Tuesday, October 27, 2020

Columbus State Police Officer Tom Lewis was honored on October 16 by Franklin County Sheriff Dallas Baldwin as a STAR Award recipient. Baldwin initiated the STAR Award program to recognize outstanding officers from law enforcement agencies across Franklin County and to foster a spirit of fellowship and camaraderie.

Each law enforcement agency is asked to nominate an officer for the award who best displays the qualities of Selflessness, Teamwork, Accountability, and Respect (STAR). Lewis was the nominee for the Columbus State Police Department for 2020. The event was held at the Franklin County Sheriff's Training Academy.
