Columbus State nursing course hosts career readiness event

Columbus State nursing students recently participated in a career readiness event. Students in their final semester of the program applied the course concepts of professionalism, leadership, communication, and health care organizations, while preparing to be career-ready.
Twenty community health care partners presented their organizations at the event. Students had the opportunity to discover and learn about various career options while engaging prospective employers.
Students rotated through learning stations designed to ensure career readiness. Columbus State’s Career Services reviewed student resumes and provided tools and resources Ten hiring managers from OhioHealth and human resources representatives from The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center performed mock interviews to provide students with suggestions on how they could improve their interview process.
The event was held on January 22 on the fourth floor of WD.
