Three Columbus State faculty members attended the Community Colleges for International Development 2020 conference in Saint Petersburg, Florida, held February 7-10. The conference brings together leaders of international teaching and learning programs to explore best practices for the creation, implementation, and sustainability of these programs at community colleges.

During a roundtable discussion, faculty members Andy Woodmansee, Charla Fraley, and Paul Carringer discussed the International Business and Technology Program at Columbus State. Carringer, who founded a teaching and learning exchange with a Sister City institution in Germany, said, “There was significant interest in the successful implementation of the program with our sister institution Berufliches Schulzentrum fur Elektrotechnik Dresden, a school known as BSZET. Ten students and six faculty members from business, engineering, computer science, logistics, and the Arts and Sciences traveled to Dresden in September.”
