Flexible Spending Account notification

Twila Wiley, Columbus State’s retirement coordinator, says that you should have received two separate communications from our Flexible Spending Account (FSA) vendor, TASC, and from our Benefits Communication Center, regarding the launch of the new TASC Universal Benefit Account website.The process of upgrading to the Universal Benefit Account will start tomorrow, July 22. The following is a message from TASC regarding the upgrade. Dear TASC Participant,
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Universal Benefit Account®!


This is going to forever change how you manage your benefit accounts, and we can’t wait to share the new experience with you. The process of upgrading you to Universal Benefit Account will start on July 22.

 Please note:

  • Your account, including your TASC Card, will be on hold starting July 22.
  • Access to the website and the mobile app will be on hold until the upgrade is complete.
  • The upgrade process should be complete within 7-10 days after your account is placed on hold.
  • You will receive your new TASC Card soon, if you haven’t already. Please ensure your contact information is correct in your online account.
  • When you receive the Universal Benefit Account welcome email, you can begin using your TASC Card, website, and mobile app.                                                                                                                                          

As we told you in our last communication, this upgrade will include our new, better-than-ever TASC Card, the fastest and most efficient way to pay for eligible benefit account expenses. Thanks to the industry-leading features of Universal Benefit Account, your TASC Card includes all this:

  • TASC Card Lock lets you lock and unlock a misplaced TASC Card with a single click.
  • TASC Card Decline Protection automatically floats the necessary funds to cover a transaction.
  • MyCash deposits reimbursements paid without the TASC Card right into your MyCash account. Use these funds for any purchase!
