Financial wellness workshops

The Student Financial Wellness Committee is a cross-functional group of faculty, staff, and administrators dedicated to the financial wellbeing of Columbus State Students. There are six Huntington Financial Wellness nights set up in November.
Money Matters – Tuesday, November 10 from 6-7 p.m. Participants will understand how to manage money by preparing a personal spending plan and identifying ways to decrease spending and increase income.
Pay Yourself First -Wednesday, November 11 from 6-7 p.m. Participants will learn ways to save money and savings options to achieve their goals.
Financial Recovery – Thursday, November 12 from 6-7 p.m. By the end of this course, participants will learn steps they can take to recover financially and rebuild their credit after experiencing a financial setback.
Safe Banking – Tuesday, November 17 from 6-7 p.m. Financial fraud and scams are thriving during the pandemic. Huntington can help by providing tips to avoid COVID-19 fraud and scams, as well as resources to promote financial wellbeing.
Investing and Retirement – Wednesday, November 18 from 6-7 p.m. Participants will get the basics on how to invest for a well-funded retirement.
Reality Day – Thursday, November 19 from 5:30-7 p.m. This exciting program introduces participants to everyday financial decisions through career exploration, financial education, and the hands-on experience of making monthly budgeting decisions during a game of life simulation.
