Career Services held a virtual event on June 5: Regional Hiring Trends: COVID-19 and Beyond Panel. The collaboration between employer partners and faculty helped make the event a success. Attendees left with information about upcoming virtual hiring events, Franklin County Skills Boost Training's, Dawson's Kickstart Program, Ohio Means Jobs weekly "VIP meet the employer" and tangible next steps to forward their career goals.

Student comments included, “This was great information on how to deal with my job search during the COVID-19 pandemic,” and “I am so impressed by the work of Career Services in engaging both campus and community partners in this space.

Nine out of ten students surveyed found this opportunity helpful. All students who took part said that because of the event, they are more likely to utilize Career Services at Columbus State.

Career Services would like to thank our employer partners: The Workforce Development Board of Central Ohio, One Columbus, Dawson, InnoSource, faculty member Jeremy Banta, and the staff at the IT Support Center.

You are welcome to view the recorded event on the Career Services YouTube channel at this link.
