CREST training for faculty and staff begins this month

Update | Tuesday, December 8, 2020

The Office of Equity and Compliance is excited to announce that the 2020/21 College Respect Equity and Support Training (CREST) will launch this month. It will be an all-new version of sexual harassment training for employees.

Equity and Compliance has partnered with the learning and design experts in Professional Development and Retention to create this year’s sexual harassment training in-house. This has allowed us to incorporate employee feedback to make the training even more relevant to our community. It also allows us to present employees with new scenarios to further their learning and readiness to respond to potential sexual harassment appropriately.

This year’s training arrives on the heels of major changes to our College’s sexual harassment procedure due to an extensive shift in federal law. Therefore, the training includes information that is new for all employees. Additionally, CREST includes FERPA training. While the FERPA training will cover the same content and serve as a refresher for many employees, Equity and Compliance is using a new vendor to keep the information fresh.

Please watch for an email in the coming days. It will notify you that you have been assigned these two pieces of training in Cornerstone. Employees will have approximately three months to complete the training. Thank you in advance for helping to create a safe, respectful, and productive College environment by completing CREST.
