Academic Council election: call for nominations

Update | Tuesday, March 3, 2020

Are you looking for College service and a chance to work with colleagues on academic issues and initiatives supporting faculty, while also promoting student success? Consider becoming an Academic Council member.

Academic Council has vacant seats on all 14 committees: Academic Pathways, Academic Rules and Policies, Assessment, Curriculum, Delaware Campus, Digital Learning, Diversity and Inclusion, Dual Enrollment, Faculty Entry, Training, and Professional Development, Honors, Instructional Success, Promotion and Tenure, Service Learning, and Student Support.

You may nominate yourself or a colleague. The Academic Council encourages faculty at the instructor, assistant, and associate ranks to serve.  Nomination forms and a list of committees, their membership needs, and their scopes and tasks were emailed to all full-time, tenure-track on February 26. However, if you need a form or more information, contact Judy Anderson, co-faculty fellow for Academic Council. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, March 19.

Below: Faculty worked together at the February 7 Academic Council Retreat held in the active and collaborative workspace in CT 108. At this four-hour event, sponsored by the Office of Academic Affairs, co-chairs shared ideas about Academic Council elections, committees, membership, meetings, workflow, and communication.  An Academic Council retreat in 2019.
