Reminder from the Office of Student Conduct

Update | Monday, November 25, 2019 10:46:09 AM PST

As we approach the end of the semester, academic misconduct (plagiarism and cheating in all of their various forms) may be an issue. It is covered under the Student Code of Conduct. The Office of Student Conduct is here to assist. If you suspect that a student is engaging in this behavior, please document the situation by electronically submitting an Incident Report form found here. Select “Academic integrity matter” on the form where it asks for the nature of the report.

Other supporting information and documentation we encourage you to include:

The course name and section
Your position, title, email, and preferred phone number
A copy of the course syllabus or specific assignment involved in the alleged misconduct
If applicable and available, a copy of the student’s work that led to the suspicion and comparison material. For instance, a website that was used but not credited.

Upon receipt of a report, our office will contact you to discuss the next steps and options and answer any questions to support all involved. If you have questions now, please see the Student Code of Conduct at the link above, or see the Academic Misconduct Procedure. You may also contact a member of our staff listed on our website.
