Mid-Ohio Market exceeds expectations
Update | Tuesday, November 12, 2019
The Mid-Ohio Market at Columbus State is off to a rousing start. After a soft opening in early October, Jack Popovich, professor of Business Programs, says, “Our impact on our students and the community is already being felt, exceeding expectations.” He reports that as of November 5, more than 1,600 customers had been served. “This could not have been accomplished without the help of dozens of volunteers.” he said.
So, thank you, Columbus State, for getting the Market off to a great start! Sign up for your volunteer shifts and keep telling students about this excellent free resource.
Popovich says that some students are still unaware of the Market. Please spread the word. The Market is open Mondays and Thursdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and Wednesdays 4-8 p.m. Income eligibility is 200% of the poverty level or about $25,000 for a one-person household, $34,000 for two, $42,000 for three and $51,000 for four, etc.
The Market still needs many volunteers. If you would like to assist, please click here.
