Student appointed to governor’s advisory council

Columbus State student Juliana Barton (center) has been appointed by Ohio Governor
Mike DeWine to serve on the newly established Children Services Transformation Advisory
Council. This group, which consists of children services employees, former foster
youth, adoptive parents, and other state officials, will review the foster care system
and make recommendations for improvements. Juliana is studying to become a physician
and currently supports former foster youth at Columbus State as a student leader for
the Scholar Network program.
