Columbus State student Juliana Barton (center) has been appointed by Ohio Governor Mike DeWine to serve on the newly established Children Services Transformation Advisory Council. This group, which consists of children services employees, former foster youth, adoptive parents, and other state officials, will review the foster care system and make recommendations for improvements. Juliana is studying to become a physician and currently supports former foster youth at Columbus State as a student leader for the Scholar Network program.
