Live Streaming
Live audio/video streaming on the web is a service provided by Digital Education &
Instructional Services (DEIS). Since live streams may involve significant technical
and logistical preparation, this service is limited to major, campus-level events advertised to the entire campus/community — not department- or program-level events.
Appropriate use cases for live streaming include:
- graduation-related ceremonies (including individual programs)
- First Wednesdays, In-Service, or related administrative forums
- performing arts
- keynote/visiting speakers
- conference presentations
The WD Ballroom (on the fourth floor) is the ideal and preferred campus location for live streaming
requests, because it houses a permanent, professional-grade audio system and multiple
wall-mounted cameras. Live streaming may be provided in other campus locations, but
suitability of any particular location is not guaranteed.
Password-protected access can be enabled for streams that should not be available
to the general public. The College’s live streaming site is at https://livestream.com/cscc.
This service is subject to availability based on limited resources. Please provide
at least two (2) weeks’ notice when requesting a live stream. Requests are handled
on a first-come, first-served basis.
