Crisis Communications
An important aspect of our mission is to collaborate in the process of making our
campus community aware of emergencies that may affect the safety of students, faculty,
and staff. Marketing & Communications plays an important role in disseminating emergency
announcements via messaging on the college’s home page at cscc.edu, and through global email emergency messages. The External Communications team also
administers the Severe Weather Policy page, alerting the media in the case of severe weather closings of any or all campuses.
If you witness a campus emergency, please contact the Columbus State Police Department at ext. 2525 or call 911. The Police Department at Columbus State also administers
the RAVE emergency mobile text alert system.
