Health Careers Opportunity Program (HCOP) National Ambassador Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in the Health Careers Opportunity Program. At this time we are not accepting new applications and the program will be ending on June 30th, 2024. If you are a current HCOP student with questions, please contact Rodger Stinson or Tyrone Spencer.
Qualified students participating in the HCOP National Ambassador program will receive a scholarship of up to $5,500 per academic year for two years to use on tuition, books, and course-related fees. Students will also receive academic support, financial counseling, and help with career exploration.
To be eligible for an HCOP Scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:
- Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non resident
- Be enrolled in a supported HCOP major (students majoring in nursing are not eligible)
- Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- Have a 3.00 GPA or higher
- List two names and email addresses of the person you would like to be contacted by CSCC email as references
- Complete an HCOP National Ambassador Scholarship application by clicking on"APPLY ONLINE" under "How to APPLY"
The HCOP National Ambassador Scholarship reaches out to students from disadvantaged backgrounds that meet one or both of two eligibility criteria: the student must be economically disadvantaged and/or educationally disadvantaged.

The HCOP Junior National Ambassador program aims to help graduating seniors and current CSCC students interested in earning an associate degree in HCOP eligible programs (supported HCOP majors.) Eligible students will receive $3,000 per academic year to use on tuition,books, and course-related fees. Students will also receive academic support, financial counseling, and help with career development.
Requirements: Students must 1) be currently enrolled Full Time at Columbus State; 2) must plan to enroll in a HCOP major and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
