Taking college classes in high school means adapting to new expectations and challenges, and Columbus State is here to help you make the transition! In each session, Columbus State advisors, faculty and alumni will share guidance and tips for success. You’ll meet your advisor, get advice on time management, communication, transfer opportunities and more.
Advisor Meet and Greet
Week of February 8-12

All College Credit Plus students have a dedicated advisor. Do you know yours? Join this virtual session to meet them! You’ll also learn how to connect with your CCP advisor to schedule classes, make sure you’re on track with your CCP courses, discuss future plans, and more.
TikTok: Time’s Up
Wednesday, February 24, noon-1 p.m.
Procrastination is a problem for a lot of us (we’re looking at you, TikTok!). But juggling schoolwork, extracurriculars, and the rest of your life doesn’t have to be such a struggle. If you’re always putting off homework and missing deadlines, this virtual session will help you learn how to make the most of your time. You will identify your biggest time wasters and create a time management plan to keep you on track.
Communicate Like a Pro
Wednesday, March 10, noon-1 p.m.
If the thought of attending office hours scares you, this session is for you! Your instructors and advisors are here to help you succeed, but you need to learn how to communicate effectively with them. Join this live, virtual session for pro tips on how to communicate with your instructors, advisor, supervisor (and others) virtually, in-person, and via email.

Join this virtual session to hear from a panel of Columbus State faculty who will answer your questions about college expectations, success tips, how to bring your A-game to the classroom.
Future Plans Part 1: Transfer Tactics

Attention high school seniors: You earned college credit in high school. Now what? Join this virtual session to learn how to transfer the credit you earned through CCP. We’ll also cover transfer opportunities from Columbus State to our four-year Preferred Pathway partners.
Future Plans Part 2: Continuing at Columbus State
Wednesday, April 14, noon-1 p.m.
You are already a valued Columbus State student, and we want you to continue on with us as a full-time student after you graduate from high school! CCP students are not required to resubmit an application for admission. You’re already accepted and ready to choose your major. Join this virtual session to learn about your next steps, including orientation, advising, and registration.
Ask an Alum
Wednesday, April 21, noon-1 p.m.
This virtual session will feature a panel of your peers who have recently and successfully completed CCP. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about their CCP experience, what they learned as a CCP student, and how they have applied that to life after high school.
Finish Line Frenzy
Wednesday, May 5, noon-1:30 p.m.
You did it! You survived a semester, or even an entire school year, of college classes during a pandemic. That’s worthy of celebration. Join other CCP students, CCP advisors, and Columbus State faculty and staff to celebrate your success this academic year.
