Tuition Please note that although students on F1 visas must take a minimum of 12 credit hours per quarter, it is frequently necessary to take more than 12 in order to complete all the classes required for your degree. Living expenses Includes the costs of rent, food, utilities, bus transportation and other essential expenditures. It does not include such expenses as clothing, entertainment, an automobile, travel in the U.S. or trips to the home country. If room and board will be provided by a sponsor in the U.S. (for example, a relative or friend), this can account for $10,720 of the student’s expenses. The sponsor must write a letter including his/her name, address and phone number and a statement that he/she will provide the student’s room and board. There can be no expectation or requirement that the student work for the sponsor in exchange for room and board. |
